Or if you're really strapped for cash and inventory slots, just get 1 +armor vs. cold damage shield and make sure one of your heroes is carrying Winter.

Wait? What's a good prefix for the weapon? Cruel? Cause I like to run "finish him!"?

Cruel is pointless. If you can can use "Finish Him!" on a monster, chances are it's dead in 5 seconds anyway.

on topic: My ele's typical weapon setup is this: slot1) 40/40 set of whatever element I'm using slot2) 10HSR, 20% enchants sword, +5>50, +30 focus in energy storage. (general enchanting and PvE set, plus tormented focuses look cool) slot3) +5en,+30 sword, +10ar vs X, +30 shields (have fire, cold, air, piercing, slashing, blunt) slot4) estorage req 10 HSR, 15/-1 wand and 15/-1, +30 offhand I also have a 15>50,+60 staff for wanding things if I ever do Armor = all survivor for PvP, PvE = radiant or survivor. and yes all weapons, shields, and offhands are kept on my character at all times. Headpieces and armor are in storage. |

So what would a good prefix be then? crippling is the only one I can use in the least seeing as there is no blinding sword or burning.

i just started running a spear and shield on my monk.. the extr 60hp really helps from those, energy isn't really a problem, if i really need the energy i just swap to the spear and an offhand. I still use a staff when running prot tho.. i don't have a spear wiht +20% enchantments yet.

As an elementalist you will most likely have a high energy pool, so a 40/40 set is advisable.

I think it's funny to see a character wield something that they can't use, like a non-warrior wielding a sword and shield.
